London, 17 October 2016 – Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has sold time travel drama Timeless to the UK’s Channel 4, which will air the series on E4.
Timeless debuted confidently on NBC in the US with 11.1m viewers, ranking as the #1 series premiere of the week with Adults 18-44, outperforming new drama Conviction on ABC and CW’s new shows No Tomorrow and Frequency, as well as returning series Arrow and The Flash.
Timeless has also been picked up by broadcaster OSN across the Middle East. In Europe, the series has been acquired by Spain’s Moviestar, AXN in Portugal, as well as Fox in Italy.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the series has been picked up by AXN in Japan, Viacom 18’s Colors Infinity in India and Sohu has secured Timeless exclusively in China.

Timeless was created by Eric Kripke (Revolution, Supernatural), Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and the producers of The Blacklist, and follows a group of unlikely heroes thrust into the adventure of their lives. Chasing a mysterious group of criminals through time and encountering some of the most seminal moments in history, the group attempts to thwart a dark conspiracy that is a threat to all of humanity.
The drama stars Abigail Spencer (Rectify), Matt Lanter (90210), Malcolm Barrett (Hurt Locker), Goran Visnjic (ER), Sakina Jaffrey (The Mindy Project), Paterson Joseph (The Leftovers), Susanna Thompson (Arrow), and Claudia Doumit (Scandal).
Sony Pictures Television will shop the series to international buyers at this week’s Mipcom, alongside scripted titles including Blacklist: Redemption, Notorious, Kevin Can Wait and The Halcyon.
