HBO Latin America Retains Exclusive Pay Television Rights To Sony Pictures’ Feature Films
MIAMI, FL – HBO Latin America and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) today announced a multiple-year extension to their current agreement to bring Sony Pictures’ feature films to HBO subscribers in 24 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean and Brazil.
As part of this agreement, HBO Latin America will have the exclusive first-run pay television rights to a host of award-winning titles, Hollywood blockbusters and family-friendly animated movies. The deal includes recent hits like Captain Phillips, starring two time Academy Award®-winner Tom Hanks, as well as comedies Grown Ups 2 and This Is The End, along with popular titles like Elysium, White House Down, Django Unchained and After Earth. HBO subscribers will also be able to enjoy Hollywood blockbuster franchises like The Amazing Spider-Man and Men In Black, as well as animated franchises such as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and The Smurfs.
