Constructed Reality Series Set To Premiere April 2014
SÃO PAULO, Brazil – Sony Pictures Television (SPT) today announced its joint venture production company Floresta will produce the constructed reality series “Young Doctors” for audiences in Brazil. 20 episodes of the daily half-hour series have been commissioned by cable and satellite network Multishow to premiere in April 2014.
“Young Doctors” follows the frenetic daily routine of five physicians-in-training inside a real hospital. Each episode contains three storylines filled with drama, mystery and suspense as the doctors are challenged to diagnose and treat perplexing diseases and take on controversial cases. The series features the real-life stories of doctors and patients that have been adapted and enhanced for television.

“Young Doctors” is the latest Floresta production for Multishow, following the conclusion of the music competition series “Star Factory.” Floresta also recently completed production on “Miss Brazil” for Band TV, as well as “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” for Globo.
