TURN BACK YOUR BODY CLOCK WINDS UP IN BRAZIL


Floresta to Produce Sony Pictures Television Format for GNT

SAO PAULO, Brazil (Sept. 4, 2012) Sony Pictures Television (SPT) today announced its joint venture production company, Floresta, will produce a local version of Turn Back Your Body Clock for Brazilian audiences. The SPT-owned format is slated to air on GNT in October. GNT is considered the most important channel for women in Brazil. The announcement was made by Elisabetta Zenatti, general manager, Floresta.

Consisting of 10 episodes, the half-hour health and wellness reality show will air weekly during primetime on GNT. The format, which is distributed by SPT around the world, has also been commissioned in Poland (TVN) and Russia (MB Group Russia). 


 Turn Back Your Body Clock follows unhealthy contestants as they take a shocking death-age test to determine their current life expectancy.  Through a series of tests and evaluations, contestants learn how their internal organs are faring under the strain of their unhealthy lifestyle. The results are then used to deliver the shocking verdict their anticipated age of death. During the series, contestants are put on a strict diet and exercise regimen designed to roll back the years and reverse the damage but can they stick to it? After eight weeks, a medical expert performs the tests again to reveal a new, and hopefully improved, life expectancy.

The reality series is the latest production from Floresta. The production company is also currently producing Miss Brazil 2012 for Band TV, which will air on September 29th. The two-hour television event is considered the most important beauty contest in Brazil featuring representatives from 27 states all with the hopes of being crowned Miss Brazil.
