South Africa

Rhino poaching has reached a crisis point in South Africa. According to the South African Department of Environmental affairs, a staggering 1215 rhinos were killed by poachers last year alone, equivalent to one rhino death every hour. If the killing continues at its current rate, SavetheRhino.org estimates that rhino deaths will overtake births by 2018, very likely leading to extinction of the species in the very near future.

Picture This in South Africa will be supporting RAGE (Rhino Action Group Effort) by promoting their efforts to save the dwindling rhino populations on the African continent as well as giving the organization airtime on both channels to help build local and international awareness.
