Starling, headed by Franck Marty, was launched in January 1989 and is based in Paris, France. In June 2004, Starling became a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Television.

Key productions include Qui Veut Gagner des Millions (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?), Le Grand Concours (Brainiest), Qui Veut Epouser Mon Fils (Who Wants To Marry My Son), all of which broadcast on TF1.
